 Pastor Jeffrey M. Lewis was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. He accepted Christ as his personal Savior in February, 1983 and was filled with the Holy Ghost shortly thereafter. He is a fourth generation member of  the Church of God in Christ.

He married the former Floetta Bryant March 5,1988. They have two adult children:  Shannon Denise and Jeffrey M. Lewis Jr.  Pastor Lewis worked in the restaurant industry for more than twenty three years.  At the time of his resignation from secular employment in 2007,  he was a top-level executive overseeing approximately 800 employees in four states.

In 1995, he acknowledged his call to ministry and began to prepare himself  for the enormous task ahead.  He enrolled in the Southern California School of Ministry and later the West Angeles Bible College to further develop and enhance his biblical knowledge and understanding. Currently, he is pursuing a degree in Biblical Studies at Life Bible College.

Pastor Lewis was ordained an Elder of  the Church of God in Christ in Southern California Jurisdiction One in June, 1997 by Jurisdictional Bishop Charles E. Blake. Shortly after ordination, he was appointed Youth Pastor by his father, Founding Pastor Dr. James A. Lewis. In 1999, he was appointed Assistant Pastor and Assistant Church Administrator. He served faithfully in every assignment and worked closely with his father and mother learning the day to day operation of the church.

In January 2001, Pastor Lewis was appointed Co-Pastor of  New Antioch and was the designated preacher for the majority of the 11:00am worship services.  After thirty six years as Senior Pastor, Dr. James A. Lewis retired and passed the baton to Pastor Jeffrey M. Lewis, who was appointed Senior Pastor during the Annual Worker’s Meeting January 6, 2006 by Jurisdictional Bishop Charles E. Blake.

Since his appointment, the church has experienced tremendous growth with capacity crowds in both 8:00am and 11:00am services. The 11:00am worship and Wednesday night  Bible Study are streamed live weekly on www.newantiochlive.com. Several innovations and ministries have been added including the far reaching Community Assistance Action Project, providing community food giveaways, worship services at transitional homes, temporary shelter placement, legal aid, medical awareness through free seminars and free clinic referrals, children services, at risk teen assistance, foster care mentoring programs, job referrals, job fairs, senior care, computer literacy and reading programs for all ages.

Pastor Lewis was appointed Superintendent of the New Antioch District by Jurisdictional Prelate Bishop Joe L. Ealy in the Annual Worker’s Meeting January, 2011. The District has grown from six to eleven churches under his leadership. He is a member of the Jurisdictional Ordination Board and serves as Board Secretary.

Pastor Jeffrey M. Lewis is invited into many pulpits to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and is often called upon for guidance and spiritual counsel. His goal in ministry is to assist as many people as possible to make it to heaven while at the same time letting them know they can achieve God’s best for their life here on earth.
